Welcome to the Science Information Center Library

USAARL's Science Information Center Library specializes in the field of aviation medicine. The library houses a large selection of aviation medicine, scientific and engineering publications, as well as an archive of USAARL Technical Reports. Online access to professional resources and scholarly literature are managed and provided by the library. Professional library and research support services are also provided.

To access online resources, patrons must request an account from the Librarian. Please send an email using your .mil email account.

USAARL's Discovery Portal - Looking for the full-text of an article? Use the Discovery Portal to search across all available full-text databases. If the full-text is not available, the Discovery Portal enables users to submit an Interlibrary Loan Request form that is sent directly to the USAARL Librarian.

Applied Science & Technology Source - This database offers a diverse array of full-text and indexed content covering the full spectrum of the applied sciences and computing disciplines — from acoustics to aeronautics, neural networks to nuclear engineering.

CINAHL Plus with Full-Text - Comprehensive research database provides full-text for nursing and allied health journals indexed in CINAHL Plus. Additional materials include full-text evidence-based care sheets, quick lessons, and continuing education modules.

ClinicalKey - Offers comprehensive content covering a range of medical and surgical specialties, instant point-of-care access, and  daily evidence-based content updates. ClinicalKey is a clinical knowledge solution designed to help healthcare professionals find the right answers at the right time.

Clinicaltrials.Gov - A database of privately and publicly funded clinical studies conducted around the world.

DynaMed Plus - DynaMed is a clinician-focused tool designed to facilitate efficient and evidence-based patient care. Rigorous and daily review of medical literature by our physician and specialist staff ensures that timely and objective analysis, synthesis and guidance are at our users' fingertips.

EBM Reviews – Combines the most trusted EBM resources into a single, fully searchable database: Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Cochrane Clinical Answers, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, ACP Journal Club, Cochrane Methodology Register, Health Technology Assessments, the Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effectiveness, and the NHS Economic Evaluation Database.

Emcare via Ovid – One of the leading nursing databases, Emcare provides access to millions of bibliographic records from thousands of scholarly, peer-reviewed, currently indexed journals.

ScienceDirect – Science Direct is the world's leading source for scientific, technical, and medical research. It is the leading platform of peer-reviewed literature and provides access to journal articles and eBooks.

SPIE Digital ibrary – Search the leading research in optics and photonics applied research from SPIE journals, conference proceedings and presentations, and eBooks.

STAT! Ref - Stat!Ref is a cross-searchable reference database of core full-text medical, pharmacology and nursing books, drug information from AHFS, evidence-based resources from ACP, and tools like ICD 9 and 10, Calculators, Stedman's and the National Guideline Clearinghouse.

STM Source – Science Technology & Mathematics Source is the most complete full-text database designed specifically for research and development (R&D) teams, product management and engineers. It includes thousands of journals, magazines, reports and other sources to drive innovation in many industries, including agriculture, energy, biotechnology, manufacturing and engineering.
