Master Sergeant Moriah Mattingly

MSG Moriah Mattingly enlisted in the Army in July 2005 and graduated from Advanced Individual Training as a Medical Laboratory Technician in November 2006. She earned her Associates of Science in Health Science Laboratory Technology from The George Washington University in May 2016.
MSG Mattingly's first assignment was at the Camp Memorial Blood Donor Center, Fort Knox, KY where she worked on the blood processing team. She was then assigned to the Department of Pathology at Ireland Army Community Hospital, Fort Knox where she served as the supply noncommissioned officer and night shift lead technician. MSG Mattingly was reassigned to Basset Army Community Hospital in July 2010. During her time there she served as the Chemistry Supervisor, Hematology Supervisor, Supply noncommissioned officer in charge, Unit Prevention Leader, and Core Laboratory NCOIC. In July 2013, MSG Mattingly was reassigned to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, KY. During her time there, she served as the Microbiology NCOIC, Anatomic Pathology NCOIC, Brigade Resiliency Trainer, and Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security NCOIC. In 2020, Mattingly moved to Fort Bragg, NC, now Fort Liberty, and served as the Special Warfare Medical Group (A) Laboratory NCOIC Instructor/writer as well as the G–33 Operations Sergeant for the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School. In July 2022, MSG Mattingly was selected to serve as the First Sergeant of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 528th Field Hospital.
MSG Mattingly has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (3), Army Commendation Medal (6), Army Achievement Medal (8), Army Superior Unit Award (3), Army Good Conduct Medal (5), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Basic Army Instructor Badge, and Parachutist Badge. MSG Mattingly is a member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and a recipient of the Order of Saint Michael. She is married to Bill Mattingly Jr. Together they have eight children and two grandchildren.
